Named Chief Executive

The Ginn Company, a nationwide leader in the development of master-planned resorts and recreation-oriented communities, has named Randy Lyon Chief Executive for the Central Florida Region.

Lyon will be responsible for overseeing the development Ginn Company projects in central Florida, including Reunion Resort & Club of OrlandoSM, Bella Collina, located near Lake Apopka and the Ginn Airport DRI, a 2,000 acre mixed use commercial and residential property. He is also responsible for future development opportunities throughout the central Florida region which extends from the west coast, Fort Myers to Apalachicola, along the I-4 corridor to the east coast, Ponce Inlet to Fort Pierce.

Prior to joining the company, Lyon served as president and CEO of Lake Nona Property Holdings, L.L.C., which owns and operates Lake Nona, a 6,900-acre master planned development in Orlando, Fla. During his tenure, Lake Nona received recognition internationally for the school partnership that created the NorthLake Park Community School, achieved outstanding sales success and enjoyed significant asset appreciation. His extensive experience includes a variety of other planned community real estate developments in Florida including Harbor Towne, Riegel’s Landing, Palm Aire at Sarasota, The Oaks and Panther Woods. Globally, he has led major resort and residential planned developments in southern California, Hawaii and Australia - many of which have received regional, national and international awards and recognition. His Island of Lanai development and the Lodge at Koele were ranked best among U.S. resorts for two consecutive years.

Chosen by his professional colleagues to Chair the Urban Land Institute-Orlando, Lyon also serves as a Task Force Co-Chair and leads the Phase II workgroup effort for myregion.org. Lyon is a dedicated community volunteer and advocate for quality educational opportunities and the arts. His professional and voluntary associations include Board of Director positions with the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce,

Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the WMFE Board of Trustees, Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation and the Central Florida YMCA.

He holds a bachelor of art’s degree in mathematics and an M.B.A. from Rollins College. Randy, his wife Andrea and their children live in Orlando.

His professional and voluntary associations include the Central Florida Technology Transit Corridor Consortium Board of Directors, the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors, the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau Board and the Central Florida YMCA Metro Board of Directors.
