School
Superintendents from around the region gathered today at the Kennedy
Space Center Visitors Complex for a meeting on Educational Opportunities
at the Space Center.
NASA Kennedy Space Center,
Delaware North Park Services of Spaceport (Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex),
and Brevard County Schools hosted the meeting to discuss new partnerships with
schools, county parks and recreation programs with the Kennedy Space Center.
With the help of myregion.org,
the Kennedy Space Center was able to make this a regional effort by inviting
all of the regions School Superintendents and county parks and recreation
officials to attend. The program included a welcome by Truman Scarborough, Brevard
County Commissioner and myregion.org
Executive Committee member, and a presentation of the Kennedy Space Centers
goals by JoAnn Morgan, Director, External Relations and Business Development,
also a member of the myregion.org
Leadership Council. The meeting concluded with a tour of the Space Education
Building.
