Dr.
Craig McAllaster, dean of the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins
College and myregion.orgs
Executive Committee member and Healthcare Co-Chair, is hosting a Healthcare
Crisis Community Conversation next Tuesday, December 17, 2002, from 7:00
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bush Auditorium at Rollins College, located at 1000
Holt Avenue in Winter Park.
Data collected by myregion.org
confirms that many of Floridas most prominent physicians obstetricians,
surgeons, radiologists, and other high-risk specialists are leaving the
state in record numbers because of skyrocketing medical malpractice costs. A
panel of industry experts will discuss its potential impact to our community
and gather feedback from the public.
If you are unable to attend
the Healthcare Crisis Community Conversation, but would still like
to make your voice heard, contact your senator before the end of January and
encourage action before it is too late. Medical malpractice tort reform must
make the agenda for the March 3 legislative session. Visit www.flsenate.gov
and click on Members to confirm your senator and contact information.
