Local Assistance Center for Fire Victims Opens in Rancho San Diego

The County of San Diego is now operating a Local Assistance Center for victims of the October wildfires on the campus of Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego. The one-stop center will be open Monday through Friday 8 to 7, Saturday 8 to 5 and Sundays 9 to 2.

County Wildfires Force Postponement of Chamber Events
Providing Networking Opportunities

Both the Networking Trade Show scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th at Carlton Oaks and the Women in Leadership Luncheon scheduled for Friday, October 26th were postponed due to the wildfires that hit San Diego County in October. The new date for the Women in Leadership Luncheon is Wednesday, November 28th.

The Grand Opening of Jeff Gray, DDS Sedation and Cosmetic Dentistry in the Grossmont Trolley Center had a big surprise guest. Reecording artist Garth Brooks surprised the crowd with an appearance at the Grand Opening. Dr Gray and Brooks have collaborated for years in the Smiles for Life charity, and Brooks was quoted as "He wouldn't have missed this for the world!" The practice is located at 8555 Fletcher Parkway #102 in La Mesa.

1st Pacific Bank Celebrates New Location in Downtown El Cajon

1st Pacific Bank celebrated its new offices in a brand new building in downtown El Cajon on Thursday, October 18. Helping in the celebration were El Cajon City Councilman Bob McClelan, the Chamber Ambassadors, the buildings owners and staff from 1st Pacific Bank.
