YOUTH SYMPHONY CELEBRATES 2ND CONCERT SEASON WITH TWO EAST COUNTY CONCERTS

On Sunday, May 4th at 3:00 pm at the La Mesa Community Center and on Saturday, May 17th at 7:00 pm at the Elks Lodge in El Cajon, the East County Youth Symphony will perform music by Handel and Beethoven under the direction of Olga Restsova.

The Youth Symphony was formed in 2006 and membership in ECYS is absolutely free to their young musicians. All cocets are free and open to the public. The Symphony is a nonprofit organization which relys solely on tax deductible domations.

The La Mesa Community Center is located at 4975 Memorial Drive in La Mesa and the elks Lodge is located at 1400 E. Washington, in El Cajon. For more information contact the Symphony at (619) 444-0231.

Setting and Achieving Financial Goal for Women Class at SDSU

Valerie L. Peck, MBA, CFP will be teaching a series of four 2 hour classes this summer at San Diego State University College of Extended Studies on Wednesdays starting on June 4th through June 25. Too many women don’t know the means to their financial goals. This class addresses how women can establish and then take action on personal financial goals. SPRECCO SWORN IN AS NEW EL CAJON POLICE CHIEF

Leadership East County graduate Pat Spreco was officially sworn in as El Cajon's new Police Chief on Tuesday, April 22nd. Sprecco hhas been with the Police Department fo 36 years as oth a colunteer and as a swornofficer.
