Alumni Volleyball Game Sparks New BWS Tradition
by Emily Ellis
The men's alumni volleyball team started a new tradition this year: The First Brentwood vs. Harvard-Westlake Alumni Volleyball Game. On Saturday, February 21, over 20 alumni players gathered to start what we hope is a long-standing tradition. With beloved ref Marvin Hall officiating the game, and Coach Jeff Porter announcing, it was an instant hit…
Alumni from Brentwood included Ian Dalsemer '88, Brian Garrett '91, Danny Rogoff '92, Jeff Cooper '94, Chris Birdwell '94, Scott Birdwell '94, Eric Freedman '96, Chris Mortimer '99, and Michael Mortimer '00. The players from both teams all went out together afterwards to reminisce about high school.
Even though HW was just barely victorious this year, Brentwood is already training for a comeback next year!

Wrestling Wrap-up – The Coach’s View
by Coach Jonathan Patton
Although we were challenged with the limited number of wrestlers on the team, we were able to persevere with a successful season. One of the great things about the sport of wrestling is that in addition to being a team sport, it is also an individual sport which afforded us the opportunity to compete with our small number of wrestlers. We had the chance to wrestle at the toughest tournaments throughout the state of California this season including the prestigious Five Counties Tournament, which is regarded as one of the top three tournaments in the nation every year…

MD Wrestling Wrap-up
by Jamie Halper
Editor’s Note: With apologies from ENN, our published schedule has been a little light recently, so this happened a while back, but we still wanted to get it in.
Against a tough and larger Paul Revere team, Brentwood was victorious by a score of 36 to 18. First match was Camber Moss wrestling at 100 lbs. In the opening period, Camber made the first move and took down his opponent for a 2-1 lead. Camber followed up with a second period escape and another takedown in which he lifted the surprised Paul Revere grappler high in the air.
