A Town Like Alice
There is a substantial water source in Alice Springs, locked underground for the last 20,000 years, and very beautiful water it is – no need to buy the bottled stuff in Alice. Ironically, what the early explorers found first was a muddy water hole left over from some rains and thought it a "spring". But where there is water, particularly in the desert, then there is life.
