Taste Down Under visited the Providence campus for the first time in December. Isn't it ironic that the launch of a competition where the first prize is a trip to sunny and warm Australia happened during a brutal New England Nor’Easter.

The Macadamia is perhaps the most famous native nut/fruit to come from Australia. Ironically most of the world thinks it is a Hawaiian nut.

Putting Another Shrimp on the "Barbie"
One of the most well known phrases to come out of Australia was the invitation to “put another shrimp on the barbie” and Taste Down Under is making a similar invitation to all the faculty of Johnson & Wales. Except that we call them prawns and you don’t have to put them on the “barbie," although you can.
