Did You Know … ?
… that DCCCD offers more than 200 distance learning courses through its online campus, Dallas TeleCollege?
Distance learning brings the classroom to you — around the world and around the clock — and can make it easier to achieve your educational goals.
Distance learning faculty and curriculum meet the same standards as those of the traditional classroom. Best of all, through open enrollment, the most popular core courses start again every few weeks. (View DTC’s class schedules to find out what’s available.)
If you’re not sure if online classes are a good fit for you, check out DTC’s online distance learning readiness assessment (READI). Don’t worry, it’s not a test; READI is just a tool to help you learn about your strengths and weaknesses as you prepare to take classes online.

Cost of Gas Got You Down? Try Public Transportation
If you’re cringing every time you fill up your tank these days (and who isn’t), why not give public transportation a try? Taking the bus or train to school:
- • saves money
- • lets you read or relax instead of fighting traffic
- • helps protect the environment
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Web site offers all kinds of helpful information, including an interactive DART trip planner, bus and rail schedules and maps, information about fares and more.
If you prefer, you can call DART’s Customer Information line at 214-979-1111. Just tell them where you need to go and when, and they’ll help you develop a customized trip plan.
