Did You Know … ?

Get some good advice. You’ve probably met with an academic advisor before to get help planning your class schedule. But did you know an advisor can assist you in other ways, too – and not just at registration time?

An advisor can

  • help you pick the degree, field of study or certificate that matches your academic/career goals
  • give you information on tutoring or other college services
  • offer guidance on the transfer process
  • and so much more.
See the Academic Advising page for more information.

Get in Shape: Fitness Facilities on Campus

Get your workout on. If you want to relax, get healthy or lose a few pounds, why not exercise a little between classes? Most DCCCD campuses have fitness facilities — such as weight rooms, swimming pools, tennis courts or jogging trails — that you can use for free or for a small fee.

Of course, DCCCD also offers athletics and physical education classes (both credit and noncredit), and some of our colleges have intramural programs.

But if you’d rather do your own thing, learn more about the fitness facilities at your college.

Consider a Career in Marketing

Make marketing your career...Do you have a head for business? A passion for fashion? If so, a career in business or fashion marketing might be a great fit for you.

Marketing is about finding out what consumers want, designing and pricing it right, convincing consumers to purchase it and delivering the product at the right time and place.

DCCCD’s Marketing Careers Program can prepare you for an action-filled career that lets you work with a diverse group of exciting people. Brookhaven College and Cedar Valley College offer Business Marketing, while El Centro College offers Fashion Marketing.

Check out the Marketing Careers Program page for more information.
