Going to College Makes $$$ and Sense

...and going to college is fun!If you’re getting this newsletter, you’ve thought about going to college before. But maybe you wonder if the investment in time, money and hard work will be worthwhile.

We’re not going to tell you going to college will be easy, but it will pay off. Here’s how, according to College.gov:

  • Boost your earnings. Studies prove that with a college education, you’re likely to make more money than people with only a high school diploma. Plus, you’ll enjoy more job options, greater job security and better benefits.
  • Lift your family. Create a better life for your parents and siblings, your children and their children. With more education, you and your family will enjoy a better standard of living. And if you go to college, your children are more likely to go too.
  • Find your passion. Going to college can open the door to career opportunities you haven’t even dreamed of yet. Why settle for a job you don’t like when you could have a career you love?
  • Grow with help and support. College is about more than training for a career. By getting an education, you’ll grow as a person, meet new people and expand your horizons.
  • Prove your potential. You may think you’re not college material, but lots of successful college graduates had those thoughts when they were getting started. Believe in yourself, and you may be surprised at what you can accomplish.
Find Solutions to the Challenges Online

Convinced yet? Maybe you can see the benefits of a college education, but you don’t know how to get started, or you’re worried about how to pay for college. Maybe your family has concerns about your going to college too.

College.gov, a Web site that is being built by the U.S. Department of Education with the help of students, has information and links to resources that can help you with these challenges. Check it out!
