Help People Heal – Become a Nurse!
Would you enjoy being part of a booming career field — one that lets you help others while earning a great salary? Then nursing might be right for you.
DCCCD’s Nursing programs combine classroom learning with on-campus lab work and clinical experience at various health care facilities, giving you the knowledge and the hands-on practice you’ll need to be successful as a nurse.
You can earn:
- a Vocational Nursing certificate from El Centro College in just 12 months,
- a Nursing Associate in Applied Sciences degree from Brookhaven (which has an extension campus at Mountain View) in 16 months, or
- a Nursing Associate in Applied Sciences degree from El Centro (with an extension campus at North Lake) in 24 months
El Centro also offers an LVN to RN Advanced Placement (“Bridge”) program for licensed vocational nurses who want to earn an associate degree, as well as a Perioperative Nurse Internship program giving registered and graduate nurses the opportunity to acquire additional theory and skills required for patient care in the surgical setting.
