Cannon Wines becomes exclusive importer of Domaine Laroche Chablis Wines

"It can be said without arrogance that Chablis is an exceptional terroir."
– Michel Laroche, 5th generation winemaker to Domaine Laroche

As of August 1st, 2009, Cannon Wines Limited is the exclusive importer of Domaine Laroche Chablis wines in the United States. As is well known, Laroche represents a long history of awarded wines from world-class terroir, including fifth-generation family ownership of vineyards in Chablis. Laroche Chablis wine brands include the venerable Petite Chablis, St. Martin, Grand Cru Les Clos, Les Blanchots and L’Obedience.

“Premium appellations are in a small, exclusive club – Laroche represents the pinnacle of such an appellation with Chablis. We are proud to represent it in the United States,” says Laurent Fortin, President & CEO of Cannon Wines Limited.

The Laroche family has produced wines since 1850 in Chablis, one of the world’s most renowned appellations. The quality of the soil from the kimmeridgian geological layer contains just the right amount of clay to bring the mineral character, and the substratum clay to preserve enough water and finally, a good orientation towards to the sun in a region that seldom suffers from excess heat. All the right conditions are met for the production of great Chardonnay.

Cannon Wines and Bronco Wine take Naked Earth national

Cannon Wines Limited is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Bronco Wine to take the Naked Earth organic wine brand to the national stage. Under the new agreement, Bronco Wine will work with hundreds of salespersons across the United States, under its Domaine Napa subsidiary, to promote Naked Earth and the benefits of its organic origins.

"We are pleased with the commitment that Bronco Wine has expressed in spreading Naked Earth’s message of sustainable agriculture," says Laurent Fortin, CEO and President of Cannon Wines Limited. "We feel that Naked Earth serves as an example that great wine is best made in ecological harmony with the soil."

Grapes that become Naked Earth Rouge and Blanc originate from the Languedoc region of Southern France, and are certified organic by ECOCERT, the French authority on organic and biodynamic farming. Their certification assures that every grape is grown in respect to environmentally sound European organic farming standards. Naked Earth is also 100% recyclable, from the carton to the bottle, label and screw cap.

Bronco Wine Company, producers of nearly 40 wine brands including Charles Shaw Winery, which changed wine drinking habits in America with a $1.99 wine, is owned by the Franzia family which has made wine in California for more than one hundred and ten years.
