 According to a recent survey from the Nielsen panel, Premium Rosé wine sales, priced over six dollars, have increased 45% during the last year in the US market. This jump in consumption is explained by an increase of premium Rosé consumption, and also by the availability and launching of new Rosé products in the marketplace.

 The August 31st issue of the Wine Spectator recognized Sables d’Azur, Cotes-de-Provence Rosé as being a “Best Value” and has awarded it an 87-point-rating. Produced by the esteemed Provence house of Gassier, Sables d’Azur is a crisp wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes and is the perfect refreshment on a warm summer day or a later afternoon lunch.

Cotes-de-Provence vineyards have their roots in the Bouches-du-Rhone area of Provence, at the foothills of Mount St. Victoire. The vineyards of Cote-du-Provence cling to the slopes in man-made dry stone terraces, where the sun’s heat reflects off the limestone pebbles and sand. It is on these terraces where the grapes benefit fully from the Mediterranean climate: mild winters, early spring and sun-basted summers.
