Warm greetings from Cannon Wines to you this winter! I am happy to announce Cannon Wines’ new 2010 portfolio, presented in our latest catalog and at www.cannonwines.com.

This year we are proud to welcome the mysterious Vin Noir by Rigal, recounting the legendary Black Wine crafted in Cahors since the 13th century.  From Jeanjean, we present Ormarine from the borders of Montpellier; Domaine le Pive Gris from the Camargue; and Castelmaure, crafted in early Jurassic limestone in the heart of Cathar country. Also, following the great success of our rosé selections last year, Gassier en Provence brings new brilliant flavors in Chateau Beaulieu and Clos des 3 Sources rosé.  Also in 2010, Ogier honors their founder, Antoine Ogier, with the full-bodied and aromatic palate of Les Caprices d’Antoine, imported to the United States for the first time. Finally, Benvenuto de la Serna brings their eponymous blend of Malbec and Merlot from the farthest reaches of Argentina.

Also new this year is the Cannon Wines Private Label, our collection of wines that tantalize the palate and offer outstanding value. The 2010 Private Label collection is bottled exclusively for the American market, and this month introduces new sparkling wines in a variety of distinguished flavors. Read on below for the storied origins of Montmartre and Veuve Devienne.
On behalf of Cannon Wines Limited, I invite you to explore our latest additions in the catalog above, our sparkling wines below, and once again wish you a prosperous 2010.

Thank you and Cheers!

Introducing the Cannon Wines Private Label Collection

Created exclusively for American import, Montmartre and Veuve Devienne Brut and Rosé are crafted with consistent quality, distinguished flavors, and storied histories.

To many visitors, Montmartre is considered the very heart of Paris, once the bustling entertainment capital of Europe, and home to the studios of Picasso, Matisse, and van Gogh. Montmartre sparkling wines are a salute to this renowned bohemian community, with fresh and lively palates that make fine aperitifs to a variety of light dishes.

Veuve Devienne represents the accumulated wisdom of decades in family-operated vineyards and wineries. “The Widow Devienne” gave her family name to these traditional sparkling wines – classic Brut and Rosé cuvee that have remained true to their origins: a rigorous selection of grapes, slow secondary fermentation, and bottling in traditional style.
