Transitional Housing Program Hopes to Aid Skagitonians Left Homeless After Recent Flood

In October of 2003, the Skagit River flooded, reaching record stages in some places and destroying the homes of many Skagitonians. The flood doused the entire town of Hamilton with four to six feet of water, rendering it by far the most damaged. The disaster had the greatest impact on those families who could least afford it, disproportionately impacting low-income Skagit County residents.
