Security Watch

Enterprises depend on a variety of security tools, including firewalls, VPN's, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus and application security, to protect against attacks and malicious activity. When used alone, each of these security tools can introduce single points of failure, performance degradation and overloads that undermine your site wide defense and cause security breaches. To guarantee the full availability, highest performance and complete security of IP applications across enterprise networks, businesses rely on Radware’s integrated products.

Radware security solutions address application needs at every critical point in the network. By extending full control over Web and Application Servers, Security Tools, ISP links, Anti-Virus Gateways and Cache Servers, Radware’s products safeguard your business and guarantee that all site-wide security tools are activated and fully protecting mission critical data and resources.

FireProof guarantees the highest availability and complete redundancy of firewalls, Virtual Private Networks and intrusion detection tools, while extending real-time application security and Denial of Service (DoS) protection to prevent malicious signature and debilitating network service attacks. FireProof fully activates enterprise security tools while accelerating security performance to Gigabit speeds.

LinkProof aggregates the operation of multiple Internet links (dial-up, DSL, Frame Relay, etc.) guaranteeing uninterrupted online services and optimized content delivery. By intelligently routing traffic and controlling bandwidth service levels across all Internet links, LinkProof enables effective link utilization, accelerating responsiveness, controlling bandwidth consumption and economically scaling operations.

Content Inspection Director (CID) provides organizations with the full availability and accelerated performance of anti-virus services, boosting content inspection to Gigabit speeds. By eliminating anti-virus bottlenecks and service latencies, CIP guarantees secure and high throughput content delivery.

CertainT 100 provides Secure Socket Layer transaction at Gigabit speeds, offloading servers and accelerating throughput for maximum performance and cost effective SSL handling. By completely offloading transaction cycles from server CPUs, CertainT 100 delivers complete transaction reliability, the fastest response time for users and unlimited SSL service scalability.

Tech Q&A with Tom Ewing

Q:  We’ve made a significant investment in network-security products, including a firewall and intrusion-detection system. What do I need to do to make sure that our security products are doing what they are supposed to do?

A:  First and foremost, businesses must understand that security is a practice, not a product. The deployment of a range of security solutions represents an initial step in building a secure foundation. However, in today’s high-risk environment, it’s not enough to build a foundation and hope for the best. To maintain network strength, security policies, procedures and best practices must be continuously managed, tested, modified and enforced – often requiring a 24/7 vigilance over your network security.

For most businesses, this constant watch over networks is not feasible due to the required investment of time and manpower. To stay ahead of potential security vulnerabilities and free your staff members to focus on their core competencies, many businesses are turning to outsourced security monitoring and management services. By outsourcing these services to a qualified and competent IT provider, you can maintain a constant state of alert and ensure immediate response to any vulnerabilities. Furthermore, you can eliminate costs associated with recruiting and training on-staff security specialists.

Customer Success Story

Union Planters Bank faced a difficult challenge: to change the desktop configurations of more than 1,200 computers at 75 Florida-based branches in two weeks.

“This project required the expertise of a qualified and patient team of professionals that could get the job done without interrupting our daily banking operations,” said Serafin Achurra, Union Planters’ vice president, and regional network manager. “Within one week, Compuquip’s team configured each desktop in over half our branches to assist us with a new security configuration and ensured our project was completed on time and within budget.”

Following Compuquip’s work in the Southeast region, Union Planters turned to the Miami-based IT-services company to rollout a new application to the entire corporation, which consists of more than 8,000 users at 800 branches nationwide.

“Compuquip met our challenge and provided responsive and reliable services,” Achurra said. “The company continues to demonstrate its commitment to client services and its ability to supplement our team at a moments notice.”
