It also guarantees 10-Gigabit Ethernet transmissions to 150 meters – all for the price of standard 50-micron cable.

If the size of your network demands delivering 10 Gigs over a longer distance, XGLAN fiber cabling can be upgraded to guarantee 10-Gigabit Ethernet support to 600 meters.  Furthermore, NetClear’s single-mode solution can support a campus-wide or Metropolitan Area Network rollout that is capable of supporting 10 Gig Ethernet at distances up to 40 kilometers and beyond.

Translation: Although the IT industry has not yet developed a performance standard for the transmission of 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper cabling, Berk-Tek and Ortronics are able to demonstrate that their NetClear Category 6 cabling system has the ability to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission over the Cat 6 NetClear cabling system.
