Microsoft is making a major change to its software-licensing program. Effective August 1, 2002, users will be required to purchase full-version licenses with a “Software Assurance” option that provides free product upgrades for a period of one to two years.

Prior to August 1, you can enjoy substantial savings – upwards of 50 percent – through Microsoft’s “Upgrade Advantage.” This program enables you to receive the latest releases of Microsoft products and contract for product upgrades at reduced prices.
