Compuquip Technologies in the News

Bea Garcia wrote in the Dec. 31, 2001, issue of The Miami Herald’s Business Monday about our new managed intrusion detection service.  In the report, Al Dosal indicates that “network and Internet security is among the foremost concerns of today’s IT managers.”  Tom Ewing describes how Compuquip conducts security audits to detect and correct vulnerabilities, and he explains that the company’s managed intrusion detection service is also aimed at averting attacks from within an organization, which are typically the most severe.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s Christine Winter has featured Compuquip and its clients in several recent reports.  In her Dec. 17, 2001, column she included comments from Compuquip’s Tom Ewing in a report about worm viruses.  In her Feb. 11, 2002, article on Internet security, she wrote about Compuquip’s work with AnciCare PPO, a South Florida coordinator of medical imaging services, when the company’s computers became infected by the Nimda virus.
