Gramm-Leach-Bliley Information Safeguards rules still an issue for nation's car dealers.
During April 2007, The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today that it resolved its lawsuit with Jeff Wyler Eastgate, Inc. and 10 additional Jeff Wyler-owned dealerships. The suit was brought by the EEOC on behalf of 39 women alleging sexual discrimination. Case against EZCORP is fifth ID theft enforcement action by Attorney General in recent weeks
On May 8, 2007 the Texas Attorney General announced that its office had found more gold in Texas business dumpsters. The announcement came as the Attorney General’s office promoted its ongoing campaign against businesses who are mishandling customer information. The latest case is against EZCORP. EZCORP operates a chain of pawn stores in Texas. Apparently, Attorney General investigators have been crawling through the dumpsters and trash of EZCORP stores finding information that should have been shredded...
