Easter and Ministry at the Margins
Meeting the morning chill of the earliest Easter of your life
Blessed Easter Greetings to the Church! Easter comes this year so very early. It will be the earliest I will experience in my lifetime. And winter in Chicago drags on far too long. Several inches of snow fell this week, as I noticed lilies trying to push up through the ground in my backyard flower beds. I'm confused. Isn't this the season where we are supposed to see color, and warming weather trends? Can the cold and bitter chill of this Easter morning teach us anything? Just as I was asking that question, I came across an article by my friend David Felter, senior editor of Holiness Today. I think it's worth a read as you and the people of God all over the world celebrate the Risen Christ, so I include it below for your pondering! Happy Easter, everyone! Hope is in the air. Brian E. Wilson District Superintendent
