Collin, Texas Tech sign consecutive admission agreement
Collin County Community College District (Collin) and Texas Tech University (Texas Tech) have teamed up to provide students a new route to a degree. Officials from both institutions signed an agreement – titled “Red Raider Bound” – granting qualified Collin students guaranteed admission to Texas Tech, among other perks.

A quirk of fate steered Dr. Guillermo Ameer from electrical to chemical and biomedical engineering, bringing him acclaim and bringing the world a realm of medicine previously unknown. A Collin graduate, Dr. Ameer is one of 10 Illinois recipients to receive stem cell funding this year, and his research may soon alter the way surgeons practice medicine.
