Third Collin student in five years named to elite All-USA Academic Team
When Adele Bailey made remarks in Boston on behalf of the new inductees into the All-USA Academic Team, the spotlight was hers alone onstage in front of college leaders and students from across the U.S. However, she was far from alone back home in achieving the honor. She is one of three Collin students in the last five years to earn the ultimate prize for American community college students.

College receives second $1 million gift
Collin has received an unrestricted $1 million gift from the estate of Royden Lebrecht . The bequest is the college’s second $1 million gift in as many years, and it will create scholarships as well as the first endowed chair in the college’s history–the Lebrecht Chair for the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement.

An insider's view of the White House

Geoff Bailey was one of 100 recent interns at the White House, and he was one of only seven interns selected to work in Vice President Dick Cheney’s office. Assigned to the White House photographer, he has numerous tales of the wonders of life on Capitol Hill.
