Soon, local residents will not have to leave Collin County for junior and senior-level college classes as well as graduate and doctoral programs. Collin College is finalizing program plans for the new Higher Education Center (pictured above) in which university partners will offer a variety of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.

According to Dr. J. Robert Collins, chairman of the Collin College Board of Trustees, “Students can expect to see course details relatively soon because the first classes will be offered in spring 2010. We are already fielding calls from students eager to enroll. It is clear these programs are of great interest to residents in the area.”
Construction of the new campus will begin this fall at the northeast corner of Central Expressway and Hwy. 121. The center is scheduled to open in January 2010.
