How and when did the cougar … I mean, you become the official mascot of Collin College?

Thanks for asking, Amanda.
In April 2004, students were asked to vote to choose the new mascot for Collin College. The four nominees were yours truly, the Colts, the Tigers and the Express. Thankfully, my successful campaign resulted in a victory.
I received 349 of a total 634 votes, followed by 133 votes for the Colts, 100 votes for the Tigers and 49 votes for the Express.
