The Collin Theatre Center will present William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors
June 19-21, 26-28 at 8 p.m. and June 22 and 29 at 2:15 p.m. All performances are at the Black Box Theatre at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The Comedy of Errors  is directed by Joanne Zipay, artistic director of the Judith Shakespeare Company in New York City. All tickets are $5. Call 972.881.5809 for information.



Collin College's Fire Rescue Camp 2008 is set from Monday, June 9-Friday, June 13, at the Central Park Campus in McKinney. The camp is for boys and girls, age 14-18, interested in the activities of fire-rescue personnel. Teenagers will participate in hands-on training exercise learning the skills of professional firefighters. Program concludes with skills demonstration for family and friends. Times are 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:30 a.m.-noon,  Friday. Camp participants should bring a sack lunch each day. No one will be allowed to leave the training grounds unless accompanied by a parent. Cost is $150. Call Leslie Thetford or Monica Wright at 972.548.6836 for registration information.


Collin College will host the 8th annual Biotechnology Conference from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Harold “Skip” Garner, professor Biochemistry and Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern. The theme of the conference is “Biotechnology: The Crossroads of Controversy and Solutions.” Cost to attend the conference is $20.
