College hosts free university pre-admission workshop

For those who have heard about university pre-admission partnerships, but want to learn more, mark down Thursday, Feb. 21.

Collin College will host a University Pre-Admission Workshop from 6:30-8 p.m., at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center.

A representative from each of Collin College’s partner universities will provide information about their individual partnership opportunities including benefits, the application processes, financial aid and scholarship, and ways to prepare for college.

Collin College has forged partnerships with nine regional universities. The program allows Collin College students to complete their first two years of their bachelor’s degrees and be guaranteed admission to their chosen university partner. In addition, the student receives various other perks.

The nine partner universities are: Austin College, Baylor University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas Tech University, Texas Woman’s University, The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Texas.

The event is free and open to parents and current or prospective college students.

Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited.

Register at destinationcollege@ccccd.edu by Friday, Feb. 15.
