• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the Central Park Campus atrium, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney -- Dr. Ray Baughman, director of the NanoTech Institute at The University of Texas at Dallas, will present “Changing the World One Nano at a Time.”
  
  Dr. Ray Baughman has been honored for his extensive research and breakthroughs in the field of nanotechnology, and will be presenting an overview of the discoveries, the changing world of technology and the impact on lives, careers and future. Dr. Baughman is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the World Innovation Foundation, an Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and an Honorary Professor of three universities in China. He holds a number of patents and has received many awards for his work in his field.
  
  
• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12 at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center, 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco -- Jason Neidrich, from Texas Instruments’ DLP Division and Phil Coffman from DRS Infrared Technologies, will present “Destination Digital -- Beyond the Infrared.” This will be an interactive session showcasing cutting edge technology, the future of the semiconductor industry, and the impact of the semiconductor industry in our high tech society. Neidrich and Coffman are slated to also present information about the careers available in science, technology, engineering and math.
  
  Neidrich graduated with a bachelor of science in microelectronic engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and started at Texas Instruments, moved to Digital Light Processing (DLP®) Production Process Engineering in 2001, to the Design Team in 2003, then to the Process Integration team in 2007.
  
  Coffman holds four U.S. patents and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and his doctorate from Arizona State University. At DRS, he has held positions in Research and Development and in manufacturing, both as an individual contributor and in management. He has worked on both current and future infrared night vision products for both commercial and military applications.
  
  
• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Spring Creek Campus atrium -- Greg Brown, managing director of AFI Dallas, will present “Living the Creative Life, Making Your Dreams Work for You.”. Presenting more than 200 screenings annually, during a ten day run throughout central Dallas, the AFI Festival is one of the largest film festivals in the Southwest. Brown, responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of AFI Dallas also leads the Festival’s extensive education and outreach efforts. If you are interested in filmmaking, a film lover, or interested in a career in the film industry, you will be learn more about the myriad of career opportunities within the organization of the largest inaugural film festival ever to be launched in the Dallas Metroplex.
  
  Brown has worked in the arts and arts education in Dallas for almost 20 years. He earned undergraduate degrees and his master’s business administration from SMU. He went on to work at SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts in a variety of roles, including as Managing Director of both the Meadows School and the Meadows Museum.
  
  Brown was instrumental in the opening of the new Meadows Museum in 2001 and in the development of a Meadows School and Museum strategic plan which resulted in an historic $33 million gift from the Meadows Foundation in 2006.
