Top 10 Reasons to Give Blood

Blood drives will be held Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 13-15 on Collin College campuses. You might as well just decide to give because once you read this you’ll be thoroughly convinced.

10. Because you’re mother would be proud.

9. It’s certainly cathartic. We all need more cathartic moments.

8. You probably wouldn’t think twice about giving if it were your mother, brother or friend in peril. Just imagine saving someone else’s mother, brother or friend.

7. Two words: Juice. Cookies.

6. Needles are not so bad. In fact, here are three things that are much worse: angry grizzly bears, “Home Improvement” and the way your fingers get all sticky after eating an apple.

5. You’ll make more. Trust me.

4. “Halo 3” will still be there afterwards. Both can fit into your schedule.

3. There can never be enough good deeds done in this world.

2. Be a hero like Hiro Nakamura, except with less samurai swords. You just never know whose life you could save.

1. There’s right and wrong in this sometimes topsy-turvy world and the lines between the two are often blurred. But giving blood is about as right as it gets.
