5 Tips For Selling Your Textbooks

5. Keep the Amenities

Some textbooks have various extras like CDs, DVDs and other learning materials. Do not discard these pieces, and make sure they’re part of your package for resale.

4. Don’t Procrastinate

Sometimes the end of finals week is too late. Be sure to be prompt before other students converge.

3. Be Kind

Be a sweet owner of your textbook. Avoid wear, tear, hair, Nair or bears. Such atrocities in addition to excessive marking can lower or nix any value.

2. Yearbook It

Why is everyone so quick to sell their books? Like keeping some will hurt you. A good idea is to get everyone in your class -- professor and all -- to sign it yearbook-style and keep it on your bookshelf.

1. New Edition

No, not the 1980s pop group. New editions tend to fetch more at resale. Older editions may have little or no value because of newer editions replacing the older.
