Quick Facts
Students who enroll at Collin College in the fall of any given year as first-time-in-college, full-time, degree- or certificate-seeking students are tracked as a group (cohort) over a period of three years to determine what percentage of them complete educational programs and what percentage transfer out to another college or university. Completion and transfer rates for Collin College are presented below with comparative data for other Texas community, junior and technical colleges. Data are summarized for the entire cohort and for the subgroup of students who received athletic scholarships.
Completion Rate refers to the percentage of students in a cohort who completed Collin College certificates within 1.5 years or associate’s degrees within three years. Transfer-Out Rate refers to the percentage of students in the same cohort who transferred to other institutions without completing a program at Collin College. Because the number of scholarship athletes at Collin college is very small, the data for athletes tends to be quite volatile.
