Faculty and Staff News
Barbara Corbin, lead circulations assistant (PRC), is the first to be awarded the certificate of completion in the Professional Directions Program for Supervisors. and Linda Robertson, administrative assistant for curriculum & program development, was awarded the certificate of completion in the Professional Directions Program for Administrative Support, Level l.

Gloria Cockerell, chair and professor for Business Management and Marketing, was recently profiled as one of the area’s “Movers & Shakers” by the Plano Insider.

The Academy for Collegiate Excellence (ACE) 2007-08 class was recently announced. The ACE fellows are Nasreen Ahmad, Sabrina Belt, Terrence Brennan, Hannah Chang, Melanie Dodson, Abe Johnson, Kirk Lee, Vanessa Lehigh, Chris Morgan, Karen Musa, Marie Piet, Diana Sage, Marcy Wilson and Eric Yeager.

The new All College Council members are: Peggy Akers – Central Park Campus; Michele Boverie – Spring Creek Campus; Jill Braziel – Preston Ridge Campus; Peggy Browning – Spring Creek Campus; Terrence Brennan – Spring Creek Campus; Francis Choy – Preston Ridge Campus; Dede Day – Central Park Campus; Todd Fields – Spring Creek Campus; Pam Gaiter – Central Park Campus; Stephanie Hanson – Courtyard Center; Karen Knapp – Spring Creek Campus; Brenda McNease – Courtyard Center; Ruth Payton – Spring Creek Campus; G’Anna Saunders – Spring Creek Campus; Mary Jane Tobaben – Spring Creek Campus; and Doug Willis – Preston Ridge Campus. Ex-Officio members include Dr. Belinda Newman representing the Administration, Kemal Moula representing Faculty Council and Roberta Jackson representing Professional Development. Alternates who will serve in the event of vacancies include Monica Barron, Mary Lou Hennessey, Cheri Jack and Tom Mobley.
