Do you hear it? It is the Banner buzz
What's that whirring sound you are hearing around the campuses? It's the staff working fast and furiously on Banner and Luminis.

The Banner Project is making visible progress. Training has begun for staff that enter and approve requisitions by the Finance Department. We will be entering requisitions for the 2008 Fiscal Year in Banner starting on July 16th. The Purchasing and Finance staff will be stationed in B205 at CourtYard from 1-4 p.m., July 16-20th to assist staff in entering fiscal year 2008 requisitions.

The Finance system will "go live" (or be available for everyone's use) Sept. 1. CougarWeb, the name of our new Luminis portal, is well underway and will be available for faculty and staff use starting Oct. 15. It will provide access to many Finance functions such as showing you if you have requisitions to approve and then with a click, logging you into Banner to approve the requisition.

Other functions will be added when Human Resources comes up in January such as on-line time sheet submission and approval, access to pay stubs and leave balances. Student and Financial Aid are making lots of progress as well and both systems will go live in the Spring semester of 2008. Things are definitely whirring and its the Banner Buzz.
