Students get research opportunity at A&M-Commerce
Collin College students Tracy Fanous, Disney Rachel-Philip and Anna Vladimirova were accepted to the Research Experience for Undergraduates at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Students Giang Quach and Christopher Koehler were named as alternates.

The students will spend 10 weeks this summer conducting a collaborative research project in the fields of chemistry and surface science with an A&M-Commerce faculty mentor. Each participant will receive a $6,000 package, which includes a $3,000 stipend, room and board, travel and supplies.

The program is funded by the National Science Foundation. Only 10 students and two alternate students were chosen for this honor. Collin College students filled five of those 12 positions.
