Noted theology professor caps off lecture series
The third, and final, speaker is set for Collin College’s 2006-07 Distinguished Speaker Series.

John F. Haught
John F. Haught will continue the series’s theme of religion and science with “Evolution and Faith: What is at Stake?” 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Haught is the distinguished research professor of theology at Georgetown University and his specialization is in systematic theology with interests in science, cosmology, evolution, ecology and religion. He is an author of more than a dozen books including “Is Nature Enough? Meaning and Truth in the Age of Science.”

In 2002, he won the Owen Garrigan Award in Science and Religion and in 2004 he received the Sophia Award for Theological Excellence.
