Five Tips for Unconventional Weight Loss
Weight loss and healthy living isn’t always easy. Living an unhealthy life is just easier with less need for excuses.

Blogger Kyle Pott lost 50 pounds using these tactics that may not be etched into the typical dieting handbook. Here are five small tips for making a big difference.

1. Everybody’s Dieting For The Weekend
Cutting the fat during the week can exhaust even the most steadfast of dieters. Pott suggests towing the line Monday-Friday and letting the guard down Saturday and Sunday, especially after the diet is a number of weeks old.

2. Dissect The Idea Of Exercise
Many “experts” of varying expertise claim 30 minutes of exercise daily, or three hours a week, is the key to weight loss. Thirty minutes is 2 percent of a 24-hour day – the same amount of time spent watching a rerun of “Seinfeld” or “Family Feud.” Toss the reruns and ... just run.

3. Weight Watcher
Invest in a digital accurate scale. Log your progress (or regress) and set daily goals. Make every ounce count.

4. Sing From The Rooftops
Accountability can help. Letting family, friends and significant others know about your new eating habits. Do not be ashamed and let others keep you in line.

5. Embrace The Small Changes
Diet soda. Black coffee. Even the smallest of changes can make an impact. In fact, many small changes added together can be even bigger. Just because a tactic doesn’t shed 10 pounds immediately doesn’t mean it’s useless. Baby steps!
