Collin has 17,923 students enrolled in credit classes for spring 2007, an increase of 4.3 percent over spring 2006.

• 59 percent (10,560) are part-time students.
• 41 percent (7,363) are full-time students; an 18 percent increase over spring 2006.
• 57 percent (13,547) are day* students.
• 28 percent (6,756) are evening* students.
• 15 percent (3,471) are distance learning* students; a 9 percent increase over spring 2006.
• 6 percent (1,060) are first-time-in-college students.
• 10 percent (1,875) are first-time transfer students.
• 84 percent (14,988) are returning Collin students; a 4 percent increase over spring 2006.
• 82 percent (14,611) intend to transfer to a university.
• 2 percent (389) are non-degree seeking.
• 16 percent (2,923) have declared majors in workforce education programs, a 17 percent increase over spring 2006.
• 68 percent (12,178) are white.
• 32 percent (5,709) are minority students; a 7 percent increase over spring 2006.
• 67 percent (12,084) are in-district students.
• 25 percent (4,430) are out-of-district students (46 percent of the out-of-district students come from Denton County, 34 percent from Dallas County and 10 percent from Rockwall County).
• 4 percent (740) are out-of-state students.
• 4 percent (669) are out-of-country students.

*The number of students do not add to 17,923 because some students are enrolled in day, evening and in distance classes.
