The following table presents economic, demographic and quality of life data for Texas, Collin County and selected cities in the District’s service area for 2000, 2006 and 2011. Plano continues to be the most populous city, both in terms of total numbers and population density, but Frisco experienced the fastest rate of growth. The median household income of Collin County is nearly double that of the State, and Allen enjoys the highest median household income followed by Frisco.  The median value of owner-occupied homes is highest in Plano, as is the median age. Commute times for Collin County residents appear to be increasing slightly.
