Collin students and community members, mark your calendar for an exciting week April 2-5.

“Careers Unlimited! Career EXPO 2007” will give you multiple opportunities to explore, investigate, evaluate and otherwise generate ideas about careers in various technical majors, including one of the newest programs, convergence technology.

Each day of Career Week will bring a special event or a series of programs designed to unlock your career potential as you establish your plan of action for college and beyond. Expand your knowledge of careers in majors such as gaming and animation, interior design (computer aided drafting), commercial music, IT, e-business media and more.

Keynote Speakers
Candy Slocum, executive director of InterLink, a Metroplex agency that prepares information on target occupations for five-10 years out.

Kathryn Kelly, CEO of ExcellerateHRO, an outsourcing human resource company under the umbrella of Plano’s EDS.

Sherree Koehler, executive senior sales director, Mary Kay Corp., and specialist in creating and maintaining a professional image

Specialty Presentations 

“Careers in the Military: Options for Men & Women” -- representatives of the U.S. armed forces. 

“Employers Discuss Leading Edge Careers” --  Area employers discuss some of the newest technology-related careers. Roundtable discussions with these employers and faculty members will help clarify questions.

Career EXPO – 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 - network with companies and faculty, learn about career options, discuss expectations, training needed and more.

Returning by Popular Demand, The Business Etiquette Luncheon “Being Professional in 2007” includes Sherree Koehler speaking on your best professional image and Karen Musa, chair of Hospitality on best etiquette at business meals. Reservations required – watch for more information.
