During All College Day Jan. 4, the annual faculty and staff awards were presented to: Innovator of the Year - Carter Skaggs; Unsung Hero - David Drane; Unsung Heroine - Julie Youngblood; Ambassador Award - Kathleen Mixon; Rose Award Part Time - Peggy Vera; Rose Award - Full Time - Dr. Nell Ard; Full Time Outstanding Professor -- Jennifer O' Loughlin Brooks; and Part Time Outstanding Professor -- Celeste Abraham.

Collin's theatre production of “The Rocky Horror (Puppet) Show" was among the top 10 theatre productions of 2006, according to the Dallas Voice and the Dallas Observer.

 

The winners of the annual Gingerbread House Competition were: Donna White – first place; Jeff Spickler – second place; and Vernie Sandbekkaug – third place. The proceeds of the gingerbread house silent auction totaled  $160 and went to the Children’s Advocacy Center.


Collin hosted the annual Give Kids a Smile event at the Central Park Campus Jan. 27. The event is a service project for the community giving dental treatment to underserved children. The event served 100 underserved children from the Princton, Prosper and McKinney school districts.
