Top 10 -- Things about spring
10. Clean Slate
Did you stink it up in the fall? Guess what: You have a new semester to stink it up again.

9. Pre-Heat
Spring combines the chill of winter with a soft, comfy heat. A perfect meteorlogical calm before the sun-soaked storm.

8. Maymester or How I Can Cram Even More Credits Before June
Ordinary students take the two weeks between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the summer semester off. Then there are the Maymester students, wringing all they can out of the academic year.

7. Summertime Blues
No matter what you do during the summer -- classes, work, road trips, vacations – you’re always just one step away during the spring.

6. Same Ol’ Rodeo, Different Bull
There are no surprises in the spring. There aren’t many freshmen, if any. Therefore, everyone knows how the game goes. Business as usual.

5. When is Earth Day again?
The spring semester is just full of great holidays and events. International Day. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Earth Day. Lincoln’s birthday. Valentine’s Day.

4. The Great Outdoors
There is a greater than zero chance that you could have a class outdoors in the spring. Probably a higher percentage than the fall.

3. January 1 = The best day for a better you.
Whether your New Year's Resolution relates to your finances, fitness or family, the spring is the best time to make that first step.

2. Two Words: Spring. Break.
The second-best break of the academic year (behind winter break) is just so wonderful. Really, just wonderfully great.

1. Caps, Gowns
Graduation is so stinkin’ close, you can taste it. Unless you’re a freshman.
