Quick Facts

The following table condenses ten years of data from IRO’s Headcount Statistics to summarize demographic trends among Collin’s credit student population. The student body at Collin has grown from 11,254 in 1997 to 19,332 in 2006, an increase of 72 percent in 10 years. Overall, there has been an increase in the number of minorities, distance learning students, transfer majors, returning students, and out-of-district students. The average age of Collin students has trended steadily younger.
