Campus Dates
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be presented by the Quad C Theatre and the City of Plano at the Oak Point Amphitheater on Spring Creek Parkway, Plano 75074. Performances are July 1-2 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 General Admission, $5 for Students (with ID) and Seniors (age 55+) and FREE for children under the age of 12. THE ARTS gallery will feature three Collin students during its Student Photography Scholarship Show starting Wednesday, July 5. The Student Photography Scholarship Show will feature Stanislav Komarovski, Jody Wissing and Danny Mulnix, photography scholarship recipients Wednesday, July 5-31. A reception is scheduled for 6 p.m., Friday, July 14. The 2006 Collin Cougar Volleyball Camp offers girls ages 8-14 instruction from one of the elite volleyball clubs in Texas. The staff of Skyline Juniors Volleyball Club will do both of camps this summer. Each athlete will receive complete instructions in setting, passing, serving, blocking, hitting, defensive skills as well as team offense and defense concepts. To ensure that each athlete is getting as much training as possible, the number of athletes per camp will be limited. Applicants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Camp II is scheduled from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Thursday, July 10-13 at the Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Boulevard in Frisco. The fee for each camp is $120. Collin's 12th annual Texas All-Star Jazz Camp will be held Sunday-Friday, July 16-21 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Taught by top jazz musicians from all over the United States, the camp is open to musicians, both instrumental and vocal, ages 13 and up, who have at least one year of general experience on their instrument. Experience with jazz music is not required. Students will receive instruction on theory, improvisation, arranging and instrumental master classes. This year the camp is featuring guests Jimmy Heath and Matt Harris. The cost to attend camp is $245 for tuition and t-shirt; $285 for tuition, lunch and T-shirt. The Collin Summer Jazz Dance Camp focusing on lyrical jazz and hip-hop will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, July 24-28. Collin's Dance Department will also be offering an additional dance camp Monday-Friday, July 17-21. Registration costs are to be determined.
