Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education from Bradley University Masters in Education in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University Currently working on doctorate in child development at Texas Woman’s University.
Where have you worked in the past and what was your title there? Plano Independent School District Team Leader of Early Childhood Units
What book are you currently reading and what is your favorite book of all time? "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey. I have lots of favorites -- I’m a mystery buff!
In your profession/area of study/discipline, who is your foremost influence and why? Jean Piaget. Piaget is considered the father of early childhood/child development. This is my chosen profession and expertise. He believes in child-centered, hands-on, interactive experiences for children in order to learn. He is right on!
How long have you taught at the college? 10 ½ years
What do you like about Collin? The ability to think outside of the box and be innovative and progressive!
What is your funniest classroom story? Referring to doggie doo when stressing a point to students while I was being evaluated by the dean.
If you could lunch with three people (dead/alive, past/present, etc.) who would it be? John F. Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and Golda Meir.
