QUICK FACTS for January

Sixty-four students displaced by hurricane Katrina applied to Collin, and 45 enrolled in its credit classes in Fall 2005.

The following are some characteristics of the displaced students.

33 percent (15) are males
67 percent (30) are females

62 percent (28) are black
18 percent (8) are white
20 percent (9) are others

60 percent (27) enrolled in transfer majors
40 percent (18) enrolled in workforce majors

73 percent (33) percent enrolled as part-time students
27 percent (12) percent enrolled as full-time students

100 percent (45) enrolled as day students
