College News
About 85 students, in addition to faculty and staff, attended a presentation by Steve Harvill titled “Elegant Simplicity: The Core Strategic Model” at the Preston Ridge Campus.

The Continuing Education Department is teaming up with Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla., to provide a Hi-Tech Installer Training Program for Verizon Wireless employees. The training will take place at the Courtyard Center for Professional and Economic Development and the Preston Ridge Campus. It will provide education on installing broadband Internet for North Texas residences.

The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations recently announced that the college’s Public Relations Department will receive four 2005 Medallion Awards in the large community college category. The winning entries were: An article by Shawn Stewart, the fall community newsletter, the college display kiosk and a portrait by Nick Young. The awards will be presented at the council's national conference in March 2006.
