Calendar of Events

Quad C Theatre will continue their 2005-06 season with the Season's Greetings, a wry holiday comedy by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn. Christmas comes but once a year and its probably just as well judging by the chaos that it causes in this classic comedy of manners. Without doubt one of the funniest plays from Britains funniest playwright, Season's Greetings tells the story of Belinda and Nevilles Christmas from Hell. As Neville and Belinda Bunker prepare for the festive season, Neville has (yet again!) forgotten to buy his wife a present, sister Rachel is in her usual state about her love life, Bernard is planning yet another of his interminable children's puppet shows, Harvey introduces the kids to slasher movies, Pattie and husband Eddie are at their customary loggerheads, whilst in the kitchen, Phyllis is drunk in charge of their dinner. All in all, its just another typical Christmas for the Bunker family. Until, that is, something really disastrous occurs...! This is a play for anyone who has ever sung Christmas is coming with more than a slight sense of dread. It is perfect Christmas fare for an office Christmas party, a family outing, or anyone who just wants to escape from all the forced festive cheer and remind themselves what Christmas is really all about - arguing with relatives. And you thought your family was dysfunctional. Directed by DFW Theater Critics Forum recipient René Moreno. Dec. 1-11, 2005. Season's Greetings will be presented by Quad C Theatre at Collin County Community College, in the Black Box Theatre. Performances are Dec. 1-3 and 7-10 at 8 p.m., with matinees on Dec. 4, 10 and 11 at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $8 for General Admission, $6 for Students and Senior Citizens (55+). Group rates are available. Free admission with a donation of a large brand new (with the tags still on it) stuffed animal for Adams Animals, a local non-profit agency that donates new stuffed animals to children in the pediatric ward at Medical City in Dallas (sponsored by Collin Theatre Cares). For tickets, season subscriptions and other information call the Quad C Theatre Hotline at 972.881.5100 or visit us on the web at www.quadctheatre.org .
