Tennis teams serve up good time for Special Olympians
The men’s and women’s tennis teams will host the Plano Special Olympians on the court for the third straight year.

Every Monday afternoon, weather permitting, the squads welcome about 18 Olympians on the Spring Creek Campus courts in order to teach them some tennis skills.

“These Olympians are 15 and 16 years old so they get to work with individuals closer to their own age,” Head Coach Marty Berryman said. “It is a wonderful experience.”

For sophomore tennis player Megan Ping, this is her second year to work with the Special Olympians. “I think the program is great,” she said. “I am happy to give back. They have always got a smile on their face and we feed off their positive energy.”

For more information, contact Berryman at 972.881.5884.
