Mark Your Calendars for the 48th Annual Tax Conference!
The 2005 Tax Conference will be held on October 24th and 25th at the Solomon Ortiz Center. This conference is designed to update CPAs and Attorneys in public practice & industry on IRS tax law changes, technology updates, IRS E-Submissions, E-Services and more. There are no prerequisites or advanced preparation needed.
Carole Strayhorn, Texas Comptroller, is Monday's Lunch speaker. You can attend the luncheon on Monday even if you do not attend the Tax Conference.

Accounting Career Education (ACE)
Plans are underway for another successful year of accounting career education. TSCPA has sent information to its chapters regarding opportunities to get involved in
this year's program. Updated program manuals and school lists will be sent to participating chapters. Individual members are encouraged to speak to classes or participate in career
fairs. (Be sure to let your chapter know about your activities so that efforts are coordinated for maximum effectiveness.) For more information about TSCPA’s

Tell a Student About Membership
If you know a business major who is not yet a TSCPA student member, send him or her to the Student Lounge section of the TSCPA Web site (www.tscpa.org).
